Khalil has over 20 years of leveraging his technical, analytical and capital markets experience to serve high growth technology companies. He helps entrepreneurs get the most out of their successful enterprises through his understanding of key value and market drivers.
Khalil has successfully exited through initial public offerings (IPOs) or acquisitions in a number of companies including; Genesis Microchip Inc. (NASDAQ:GNSS – subsequently acquired by STMicroelectronics NYSE:STM); Cognicase Inc. (TMX:COG – subsequently acquired by CGI Inc. TMX:CGI); and Simba Technologies, acquired by Pivotal Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PVTL – subsequently acquired by Broadcom Corporation NASDAQ: BRCM).
He started his career in venture capital with Working Ventures Canadian Fund, at the time Canada’s largest venture capital firm where he participated in over 20 transactions across diverse industries and stages. Khalil specialized in semiconductor and middleware software companies, and successfully led five investments. He then joined VenGrowth Capital Partners, where he led seven investments in the communications industry.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors at Natural Systems Utilities and Luminultra Technologies and is a member of the Water Environment Federation and American Water Works Association. Khalil holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and a B.Comm in Finance and Accounting from Concordia University.
