John Kavila Kwinga

John Kavila Kwinga has worked in various engineering roles since 1998. John began their career at Perkins Engines as a Graduate Engineer, where they were responsible for updating technical system documentation and performing verification and validation work. In 2001, John joined Caterpillar Inc. as a Systems Engineer, where they led and managed a remotely located engineering team developing and supporting the CAT Telehandler machine electronic system product development and production issues. John then became a New Product Development (NPI) Project Lead and was responsible for managing a multi-million dollar budget and leading the program planning, requirements scope definition, execution and delivery of the final electronic/electrical system solution from concept into production. John then moved into the role of New Product Development Manager, where they were accountable for New Product Development Programs delivering Electrical/Electronic Solutions for machine development programs for Caterpillar Machines built in Europe. In 2014, John joined Mobius Motors as Technical Director and then Associate Technical Director. John is currently the Senior Integration Manager, and is responsible for Engineering Manager for current production Mobius 2 vehicle and Technical Program Manager for next generation Mobius vehicle platform.

John Kavila Kwinga attended The University of Manchester from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a BEng in Electromechanical Systems Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Strathmore School from 1990 to 1993, where they earned O Levels in KCSE.
