Dave Lewis (he/him)

Dave Lewis has a diverse work experience starting in 1999, when they served as a Technology Specialist at Sandbox, focusing on front-end and back-end development. Dave then worked at StreamSage, Inc. as the Director of Technology, leading the team that built a multimedia search application for Comcast. In 2006, they joined Perrone Robotics as an Engineer, where they developed interfaces for laser radar sensors and implemented customer applications. In the same year, they also joined Electric Sheep Company, Inc. as a Sheep, where they built web-services and contributed to the port of the Aspen game engine.

In 2012, Dave joined Birchbox as a Senior Software Engineer and later became the Director of Engineering, Shop. Dave played a key role in the growth and revenue increase of the company and created the Ratings and Reviews system.

From 2017 to 2020, Dave worked at InVision in various roles, including Director of Engineering, Studio Foundations, where they managed a team of 20 engineers, and Director of Engineering, Design Operations, where they formed a new product group and guided DSM from Early Access to General Availability.

Afterwards, they joined Clearco as the Senior Director of Product Engineering, and then MindsDB as the Head of Engineering. Currently, Dave is the Head of Engineering at Mobot, starting in May 2022.

Dave Lewis attended Swarthmore College from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cognitive Science. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Brown University from 1997 to 1998 to further their education in Cognitive Science, although they did not obtain a degree during this time.
