Lin Orlowski Ma, Lpc, Lcpc, Rpt-S

Lin Orlowski, MA, LPC, LCPC, RPT-S, currently serves as the Counseling Coordinator and Therapist at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) since January 2014, providing individual and family counseling and co-facilitating groups. In addition, Lin has been teaching yoga independently since January 2015 and previously worked as a therapist at Kansas City Wellness Collective until March 2021. Other significant roles include being a Dental Care Coordinator at MetroCARE of Greater Kansas City and a Respite & Supported Community Living Services Provider at Children's Center for Therapy. Lin's education includes a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Iowa, a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Wartburg College, and 200-hour yoga teacher training from Boulevard Yoga & Healing Arts, along with ongoing yoga therapy training at Inner Peace.

Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA)

MOCSA’s mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community. Together we can create a community free from sexual assault and abuse. Our services are free of charge and available to survivors and their families in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We offer the following services: - 24-hour Crisis Services: 816-531-0233 & 913-642-0233 - Advocacy: hospital, legal, police, and court advocacy; support groups - Counseling: individual and group therapy - Education: age-appropriate programs for children in elementary, middle, and high schools; training for advocates, counselors, law enforcement, restaurant and bar staff, and other professionals - Prevention: supporting community based coalitions in both Missouri and Kansas to prevent sexual assault and other forms of violence
