Amber Dixon

Amber Dixon serves as the District Coordinator of Guidance and Counseling at Alvin ISD since July 2021, where responsibilities include supporting the development and implementation of school counseling programs tailored to student needs. Prior experience includes serving as Lead School Counselor at Alvin Independent School District from July 2015 to July 2021, focusing on student personal growth, academic achievement, and collaborative team leadership. Amber's counseling career began at South Plains College from June 2010 to July 2015, where a variety of counseling roles supported diverse student populations. Initial experience as a Counselor Intern at Family Connections and a Teacher at Lubbock ISD provided foundational skills in educational settings. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Counselor Education from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the same institution.
