Clifford W.

Clifford W. has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1994 with Hughes Electronics as an MTS Physical Science. In 1997 they worked as a Contractor for Orbital Sciences Corp., developing ETL tools for Space Imaging, Inc.'s Carterra Analyst. From 1999 to 2001 they were a Sr. Principal Consultant at Oracle Corporation, where they were a video/multimedia database architect for the Federal Trailblazer DataCenter product. Clifford then worked as a Consultant for PROTEUS Technologies from 2004 to 2005, where they managed SCS's deep packet inspection and protocol analysis products involving cellular, VoIP & video broadcast systems. From 2005 to 2018 they were a Principal Imagineer at Walt Disney Imagineering R&D, Inc., where they were a general roboticist and developer of systems leveraging drones to mobile robots. Finally, from 2018 to 2021 they were a Principal Product Engineer at The Walt Disney Company, focused on smart home, robotics, drones in the global consumer products division. Clifford is currently a Sr Director of Technology at ModalAI, bringing autonomous technology to the mainstream.

Clifford W. attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a BS in Physics. Clifford then went on to The Johns Hopkins University, where they obtained an MS in Applied Physics between 1995 and 1997. More recently, they obtained a Nanodegree in Self Driving Car Engineering from Udacity in 2018-2019. Additionally, they obtained a FAA Remote Pilots Certificate (107) from the Federal Aviation Administration in September 2016.
