Karthikeyan Kandasamy

Karthikeyan Kandasamy is an accomplished naval architect with extensive experience in the offshore industry. Currently serving as the Lead Naval Architect at MODEC, Inc. since July 2020, Karthikeyan is responsible for overseeing FPSO projects, developing engineering specifications, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Previous roles include Lead Structural Engineer at Sembcorp Marine Singapore, where responsibilities encompassed structural and naval architectural analysis of offshore vessels, and Research Engineer at the National University of Singapore, focusing on the hydrodynamic characteristics of drill ships. Karthikeyan has also held positions at Marteq Energy Pte Ltd, McDermott Asiapac Pte Ltd, GL Noble Denton, and Saipem, demonstrating a strong background in design, analysis, and consulting within naval architecture. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Offshore Floating Systems and a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, along with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
