Casey Schreiner

Casey Schreiner is an accomplished writer and brand copywriter currently working at Columbia Sportswear Company since September 2024. With a focus on outdoor narratives, Casey contributes to the Los Angeles Times as a freelance writer, particularly in the Travel Section, and assumed editorial responsibility for the newsletter THE WILD in October 2022. As an author, Casey published "Cloud Spotting," a part of Chronicle Books' mindfulness series, and has written "Day Hiking Los Angeles" for The Mountaineers. Additionally, Casey is the founder and editor-in-chief of Modern Hiker, Southern California's leading hiking blog, and serves on the board of the nonprofit Nature For All. Freelance writing projects include collaborations with Mighty Media Studios and scripts for TikTok and Nickelodeon events. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Film and Television from Boston University and ongoing studies at UCLA Extension.
