Richard Buchanan

Richard Buchanan is an experienced project and mechanical engineer with a robust background in railway systems, electrical engineering, and construction management. Since September 2016, Richard has served as a Project Manager at Modern Railway Systems, focusing on the construction and installation of railway signaling equipment while collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals within budget. Prior experience includes working at ESSMETRON as a Mechanical Engineer, contributing to the development of a UL-listed switchgear product line, and serving as a Project Engineer at viastore systems, specializing in custom conveyor systems. Richard has also worked in roles involving natural gas pipeline calculations, productivity consulting, and general construction. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Grand Valley State University.
