Lisa Rice

Lisa Rice is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry and academic research. Currently serving as the Director of R&ED Strategic Operations at Moderna since September 2016, Lisa has held multiple leadership roles, including Director of Technical Development and Associate Director of R&ED Strategic Operations, as well as positions in rare disease research. Prior to Moderna, Lisa was a graduate student at Boston University School of Medicine, focusing on biomarker discovery and development for systemic sclerosis and lung complications, and a Research Assistant at Brandeis University, where Lisa developed novel molecular diagnostic methods for infectious diseases. Lisa holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Translational Medicine from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brandeis University.
