Melanie Shields

Melanie Shields is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in legal and procurement roles. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Procurement, Supply and Channels at Moderna since August 2021, Melanie previously held the position of Manager of Enterprise Operations within the same company. Prior experience includes working as a Legal Recruitment and Communications Consultant at The Heller Group Legal and Executive Search, and as an Associate at Scarfone Hawkins LLP. Melanie has also served as a Lawyer at True Path Law Firm and Cass & Bishop Professional Corporation, and completed an Articling period at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP. An early engagement in academia was as a Teaching Assistant at Western University, supporting first-year contract law students. Melanie holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Western University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy from McMaster University.
