Tarek Farahat

Tarek Farahat is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Commercial & Alliances (EMEA) at Moderna since April 2021, Tarek focuses on market entry strategies and the management of commercial partnerships to facilitate organizational growth. Prior to this, Tarek held a significant role at Eli Lilly and Company from January 2011 to April 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing marketing strategies across the Middle East and leading a diverse team in multiple marketing functions. Early career experiences at Bayer Pharmaceuticals encompassed roles from Medical Sales Representative to National Sales Manager, providing foundational skills in both sales and marketing. Tarek holds an M.B.A. from the University of Bradford and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Alexandria University.
