Anupriya Ankolekar is a Co-founder and Principal Scientist at ModuleQ. Anupriya was previously a Principal Research Scientist at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories from October 2007 to October 2016.

At Hewlett-Packard Labs, their research focussed on novel user services and experiences around mobility and rich Web technologies. In collaboration with their peers at the Mechanisms and Design Lab, they worked on new methods to visualize enterprise-relevant information for a business unit, developed personalized enterprise signage, designed and developed enterprise collaboration markets, developed systems for seamless, ad hoc, live sharing of private content in co-located groups using QR codes, browser-based geolocation, NFC tags and Bluetooth LE, a location-aware audio service that pulls together geo-tagged crowd-sourced audio to automatically create a personalized soundtrack for mobile or virtual map-based journeys and a mobile application to support presence and context awareness of a user’s phone social contacts.

These projects led to several multiple tech transfers to the business and to publications at prominent research conferences, such as CHI and MobileHCI. Anupriya has also received 4 patents on this work, with several pending. Anupriya also participated (and won) internal research funding, presented our work both at research conferences and to customers.

Anupriya Ankolekar received their Doctor of Philosophy in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University. Anupriya also holds a Diplom Informatik (B.S. + M.S.) in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University, and a degree from Jeanne d'Arc College in Maastricht.

Anupriya Ankolekar reports to David Brunner, Founder & CEO. They work with Norman Tsang - CFO, Bob Sullebarger - VP, Sales, and Joseph Zuromski - VP, Engineering.
