Priyanka Karunakaran, CSM

Priyanka Karunakaran has a varied work experience spanning several industries. Priyanka currently holds the position of Project Manager at Flexspring, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, Priyanka served as a Business Project Manager at Woodslake Homecare from October 2021 to April 2023. In this role, they provided ideas for new programs and collaborated with the Procurement team. Priyanka also managed cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.

Before joining Woodslake Homecare, Priyanka worked as an Implementation Associate Project Manager at Ceridian from May 2020 to August 2021. Here, they successfully delivered Ceridian's product, Dayforce, to clients and effectively tracked project progress using Netsuite.

During their tenure with the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka from February 2020 to December 2020, Priyanka gained experience as an Assistant Teacher.

Prior to their roles in project management, Priyanka started their career as a Medical Assistant at Apollo Hospitals in August 2015. Here, they underwent a comprehensive training program and performed quality checks on various medical devices under expert supervision.

Additionally, Priyanka held positions at Tata Consultancy Services, where they served as a Junior Project Manager and later as a Technical Project Lead. In these roles, they facilitated CRM activities, analyzed user requirements, and developed business architecture/test cases. Priyanka's tenure at Tata Consultancy Services lasted from January 2017 to January 2020.

Priyanka Karunakaran, CSM, has a diverse education history. In 2020, they completed a post-graduate program in Project Management from Georgian College. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2016, they attended Rajalakshmi Engineering College and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Priyanka'shigh school education was completed at D.A.V Matriculation Higher Secondary School from 2010 to 2012, where they focused on Biology, General.

In addition to their formal education, Priyanka has obtained various certifications and additional qualifications. Priyanka obtained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in June 2021. In 2020, they obtained the Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services. Priyanka also earned several certifications from LinkedIn, including Advanced Microsoft Project, Agile at Work: Planning with Agile User Stories, Microsoft Project 2016 Essential Training, Agile Foundations, Learning Microsoft Project, Scrum: The Basics, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, Business Acumen for Project Managers, Project Portfolio Management Foundations, and Strategic Planning Foundations.

Furthermore, Priyanka holds the PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation & Practitioner certification from Tata Consultancy Services, which they obtained in February 2019. Priyanka also obtained the ITIL Foundation Level certification from Tata Consultancy Services in April 2018.
