Janet Caramello

Janet Caramello, MBA CAP® CFRE, serves as a Senior Major Gift Officer at Moffitt Cancer Center since December 2022, following a tenure as Major Gift Officer at Stetson University College of Law, where a focus on blended and complex gifts was maintained. Janet has extensive leadership experience, including serving as President and Board Member for Charitable Gift Planners Central Florida, and as Director of Philanthropy for The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida, where significant fundraising achievements were realized. As Chief Executive Officer of the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida, Janet innovated the nation's first Entrepreneur Academy for individuals with Down Syndrome, resulting in an impressive income increase for participants. Additional roles include Director of Philanthropy at Children's Home Society of Florida and Director at the Juvenile Welfare Board. Janet holds an MBA from the University of South Florida and a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Florida, supplemented by a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation from The American College of Financial Services.
