Leandro Christmann currently serves as Vice President of Venture and Investment at Moffitt Cancer Center since March 2024. Previously, Leandro held the position of Senior Director of Business Development at the Allen Institute from December 2020 to December 2022 and worked as Senior Acceleration Manager for Biologics, Gene and Cell Therapies at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from April 2018 to September 2020. Additionally, Leandro was the Lead Optimization Coordinator at the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative - DNDi between June 2014 and October 2015 and operated as a Biotech Consultant while self-employed from 2011 to 2013. Leandro's extensive experience in the biotech sector also includes a long tenure at Synageva BioPharma Corp. as Director of Technology and Toxicology from 1998 to 2010. Educationally, Leandro earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Developmental Biology from the University of Cambridge (1990 - 1994), a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biology of Reproduction from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1988 - 1989), and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (1983 - 1987).
