Mehmet Belgin is a seasoned professional in high-performance computing (HPC) and cancer research, currently serving as a Senior HPC Systems Engineer at Moffitt Cancer Center since July 2024. Previously, Mehmet held the position of Director of Applications at NextSilicon, where leadership was provided to a team focused on developing and optimizing applications on unconventional architectures. At Georgia Institute of Technology, Mehmet contributed as both a Research Facilitation Lead and Research Scientist, enabling advanced computational research and providing HPC support. Early career experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant role at Virginia Tech, supporting supercomputing resources. Mehmet holds a PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, alongside multiple master's degrees in Computational Science and Engineering and Ocean Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
