Xavier Avat is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in driving corporate strategy, business development, and operational management across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as EVP & Chief Business Officer at Moffitt Cancer Center, Xavier previously held leadership positions at Capricor Therapeutics as Chief Business Officer, and at Edwards Lifesciences as Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Strategy and New Initiatives. Noteworthy contributions include leading the US launch of Sovaldi at Gilead Sciences, achieving over $12B in sales within the first year, and driving significant growth and strategic initiatives at companies like Santen Pharmaceutical and Merck.
