Ebtihal Z.

Ebtihal Z. has a diverse work experience in the field of translation and linguistics. Ebtihal started their career as a Freelance Proofreader at Daleel Student Services in October 2017 and worked there until July 2019. In September 2019, they joined Wordminds as a Business and Marketing Translator. Ebtihal then worked as a Freelancer, undertaking various roles such as editor, translator, subtitler, summarizer, and transcriber from December 2015. From March 2019 to June 2022, Ebtihal worked as an Arabic Linguist at Synergium Sweden AB. In March 2021, they joined Bayantech as an Arabic Linguist and later moved to MoGi Group in June 2021 to work as an Arabic Game Localizer. Currently, Ebtihal is working at Alpha as an Arabic Game Translator and Reviewer since November 2022. Additionally, they had a short-term role as a Translation Reviewer and Terminologist at COP26 - UN Climate Change Conference from October 2021 to November 2021.

Ebtihal Z. completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English language and literature from The Open University in the years 2011 to 2015. Ebtihal also pursued a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Arab Open University from 2009 to 2015. In 2020 to 2021, Ebtihal attended Namae Academy where they obtained a Diploma in Language, Communication, and Translation with a field of study in Arabic Language and Media Studies.

Additionally, Ebtihal received various certifications throughout their education and career. In June 2020, they obtained a Level 5 Diploma in Proofreading & Editing Course from Course Gate. In December 2019, they completed an Introduction to Translation Project Management course from Udemy. Ebtihal also completed a Mobile App Localization for Translators course from Udemy in October 2019. In September 2019, Ebtihal obtained a certification in Translation as a career from The Open University. Furthermore, they completed an Introduction to Humanitarian Translation course from Translators Without Borders in November 2018. In May 2017, Ebtihal obtained a certification in Working with Translation: Theory and Practice from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd. Ebtihal also holds a Diploma in Blogging and Content Marketing from Shaw Academy, which they obtained in March 2017, and a Diploma in Digital Marketing from Shaw Academy, which they obtained in November 2016. Lastly, Ebtihal became a member of MCIL (Member of Chartered Institute of Linguists) in April 2022.
