Jose Maria Polo has worked in various roles in the academic and scientific fields. Jose Maria began their career in 2008 as a Research Fellow at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. In 2011, they moved to Monash University, where they held the positions of Professor, Group Leader, and Associate Professor. In 2016, they co-founded Mogrify, and in 2021 they became the Director of the Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics at the University of Adelaide.
Jose Maria Polo obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine between 2002 and 2008. Prior to this, they obtained a professional degree in Biochemistry from the University of Buenos Aires between 1992 and 2000.
