Abid Butt

With more than 30 years of global experience in the luxury and lifestyle hospitality industry, Abid Butt’s strategic acumen and drive to innovate has been instrumental in the launch and growth of several hospitality brands and hotel real estate companies.

Abid previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, a publicly traded Singapore based luxury hotel, resort, and spa brand, after serving as its first Vice President of Operations in 2012. His past experience also includes being the CEO of Asia, Middle East, and Africa for Dream Hotel Group and Vice President of Asset Management for the largest industry REIT, Host Hotels, where he oversaw a portfolio of trophy assets.

Abid started his career in hotel operations and was a General Manager of Sheraton full-service hotels in the Americas and Asia. He has an MS from Johns Hopkins University and a BA from Johnson and Wales University in Hospitality.
