Gurvinder Batra

Gurvinder has more than two decades of technical and operations expertise. At KiwiTech, the investor and shared services support arm for Mogul, he oversees their wide range of technology development, R&D work, and overall operations of the company. Gurvinder is enthusiastic about breaking down technological barriers for startups and helping them scale new heights via technology innovation. He is passionate about making technology accessible and relevant for all, particularly in emerging markets.

Previously, Gurvinder served as a CTO and president of Aptara, the world's largest publishing services company. During his tenure at Aptara, he led the development of XMLPublish - - the industry's first front-end XML workflow process that ensures the simultaneous production of high-quality content for a full range of publishing formats, both print and electronic. Aptara scaled up through a combination of organic and inorganic growth including eight synergistic acquisitions that helped to expand the service offering of the company. It was one of the 500 Fastest Growing Companies in 2000, 2001, and 2002, and was acquired by iEnergizer in February 2012 for $144 million.
