Todd Araujo is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in tribal and governmental law. Currently serving as General Counsel for the Mohegan Tribe since November 2021, Araujo previously held the position of Partner at Simpson, Tillinghast, Sheehan & Araujo, P.C. from January 2016 to November 2021. Araujo's career also includes roles such as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alaska, Associate at Baxter Bruce and Sullivan, and Partner at Araujo Law Firm, LLC. Additionally, Araujo has worked as Policy Counsel at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, Deputy Director at the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Tribal Justice, Staff Attorney at the National Indian Gaming Commission, and Tribal Court Prosecutor for the Pueblo of Laguna. Araujo earned a JD from The University of New Mexico School of Law and a degree from the College of the Holy Cross.
