Archana Machireddy has been working in the field of computer vision since 2022, when they began their role as a Computer Vision Scientist at Moichor. Prior to this, they were a PHD Graduate Student at Oregon Health & Science University from 2014-2022, where they worked on semi-automatic segmentation of electron microscopy images of cancer tissues, semantic segmentation of prostate cancer MR images, and multi-resolution fractal analysis for early prediction of breast cancer chemotherapy response. From 2011-2014, they were a Graduate Student and Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. During this time, they developed a video-IMU hybrid system for movement estimation in infants with the aim of identifying abnormal movements, which are strong predictors of cerebral palsy.
Archana Machireddy completed their Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University in 2011. Archana then went on to pursue their Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2014. Archana is currently pursuing their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at Oregon Health & Science University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
