Matthew Collins

Matthew Collins is a seasoned professional in the fields of literary linguistics and applied linguistics, currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow at the Royal Shakespeare Company since April 2022. Prior to this role, Matthew held various research positions at the University of Birmingham, including Research Fellow and PhD Student, where significant work was conducted in Middle English and historical stylistics. Additional experience includes a Project Manager position at the University of Cambridge and a series of roles at the Royal Shakespeare Company focused on new business and digital development. Matthew holds a Doctorate in Applied Linguistics and a Master’s Degree in Literary Linguistics from the University of Birmingham, as well as degrees from the University of Oxford.
