Emir Demirel

Emir Demirel has been working in the field of data science since 2017. Emir began as a Research Scientist at Music Technology Group in 2017, followed by a PHD Researcher position at Queen Mary University of London in 2018. In 2019, they took on the role of Research Engineer at Doremir Music Research AB, and in 2022 they accepted positions as a Research Scientist at Spotify and a Sr. Data Scientist at Moises.

Emir Demirel has a comprehensive educational background. Emir began their studies in 2011 at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2016. Emir then pursued a Master's degree in Sound and Music Computing at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2017, which they completed in 2018. Currently, they are completing their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London, which they are expected to finish in 2022.
