Jackson Mercer

Rabbi Of Base BSTN at Moishe House

Jackson Mercer is an experienced rabbi and educator currently serving as the Rabbi of Base BSTN at Moishe House since August 2023. As a co-founder of HiddurMitzvah, established in November 2019, Jackson focuses on creating meaningful modern Judaica for contemporary Jewish practices. Jackson has been a Traveling Shaliach Tzibbur for Reform Synagogues since 2014, facilitating Camp Style Shabbats and educational programs for teens. Previous roles include Joseph S. Ingber Rabbinic Fellow at Romemu, Rabbinic Intern at Temple Beth Sholom, and Music Director at Asiyah Jewish Community. Jackson has also contributed to camps, synagogues, and events through various music leadership positions. Educational achievements include ongoing rabbinical studies and a master's degree in Jewish Education from Hebrew College, along with a cum laude bachelor's degree in Jewish Studies from UCLA.
