Otieno has tons of manufacturing experience ranging from the oil industry, beverage industry, and the clean cooking sector. He’s worn many manufacturing hats, from Quality Control and Assurance to Research & Development, Capital Projects, and Maintenance. This manufacturing marvel has done it all!

Ready to be super impressed? Otieno set up a fully functional Research and Development Lab in his previous role at Burn Manufacturing and additionally set up two research programs in Kilifi and Ruiru that enabled simulation of the actual use of the stoves that were being manufactured. This enabled the team to predict failure modes and research alternative design and material options for better products. Ultimately, his work led to the launch of a key product and multiple major improvements in the current products.
