Jayne Hesley has a diverse work experience in the field of applications science and product management. Jayne started their career at LJL BioSystems as an Applications Scientist from an unknown start date until 2000. Jayne then joined Molecular Devices Corp. as a Product Manager for Multi-mode Systems from May 2000 to July 2005. After that, Jayne worked at Blueshift Biotechnologies as an Applications Scientist from April 2006 to July 2008, where they developed cell and bead based applications and collaborated with software developers. Jayne then joined Molecular Devices as an Applications Scientist in the Imaging Group in June 2008, after the acquisition of Blueshift Biotechnologies by MDS Analytical Technologies. In this role, they developed applications and turned them into marketing materials using the ImageXpress Micro and Ultra automated microscope systems. In January 2010, after MDS Analytical Technologies was acquired by Danaher, Molecular Devices reverted to its original name. Jayne continued their work at Molecular Devices as a Senior Applications Scientist from 2016 to January 2020. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Applications Scientist/Lead Customer in Product Development at Molecular Devices, where they leverage their imaging applications experience to represent the needs of high content imaging scientists to the hardware and software engineers. Jayne utilizes their broad experience to influence the development of innovative new automated imaging systems for the laboratory.
Jayne Hesley attended the University of Idaho from 1982 to 1986 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. Jayne then pursued their higher education at the same university, earning a Master's degree in Natural Science with a specialization in Biology from 1989 to 1991.
