Serena Cervantes has a diverse work experience in the scientific field. Serena began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at UC San Diego from September 2013 to October 2015. Serena then joined Essen BioScience as a Field Application Scientist from October 2015 to March 2017. Serena then worked as a Field Application Specialist at Photometrics from April 2017 to October 2017. Serena further expanded their expertise by working at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Field Application Specialist from October 2017 to December 2018 and as a Technical Sales Specialist from January 2019 to August 2019. Serena joined PerkinElmer, Inc. as a Field Application Specialist in September 2019 and worked there until November 2021. Serena currently holds the position of Field Application Scientist at Molecular Devices, where they started in November 2021.
Serena Cervantes began their education in 2003 at the University of California, Riverside, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 2007. Serena then pursued further education at the same university and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology in 2013.
