Young Jun Kang is a seasoned researcher currently serving as a Senior Investigator at the Molecular Medicine Research Institute (MMRI) since May 2016. Prior to this role, Young Jun Kang held positions at The Scripps Research Institute, including Principal Investigator and Senior Research Associate, from September 2008 to April 2016, and served as an Assistant Project Scientist at the University of California, San Diego (Moores Cancer Center) for a brief period in early 2008. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Research Associate at The Scripps Research Institute from 2003 to 2008 and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University from 1999 to 2003. Young Jun Kang earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Seoul National University, where a Master’s Degree in the same field was also completed, alongside a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Sogang University.
