Michaela Sousares

Michaela Sousares, M.S. has a diverse background in scientific research and laboratory work. Michaela began their career as a Graduate Instructional Assistant at Texas State University in 2015, where they demonstrated their expertise in teaching and providing guidance to students. Michaela later transitioned into a role as a Laboratory Technician at the same university, where they gained hands-on experience in molecular cloning, protein expression, and biomolecule characterization. In 2018, Michaela joined Molecular Templates as a Scientist, where they took on administrative responsibilities, coordinated with internal and external collaborators, trained new personnel, and maintained cell lines and developed assays. Throughout their work experience, Michaela has demonstrated their knowledge and proficiency in various scientific techniques and software.

Michaela Sousares, M.S. completed their education at Texas State University. Michaela earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology, General, from 2009 to 2014. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biochemistry from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, Michaela Sousares obtained certifications in various areas, including Bloodborne Pathogens and Hazardous Waste Training from Texas State University in August 2017. Michaela also obtained a BSL-2 Certification from Texas State University in August 2015. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Good Clinical Practice from The National Institutes of Health in June 2023.
