Samara Seepersad

Samara Seepersad has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Samara currently works at MolecuLight as a Project Manager, Technical, where they are responsible for overseeing projects and ensuring technical success. Prior to this, they worked as a Product Development Associate and Quality Assurance Tester at the same company.

Before joining MolecuLight, Samara worked at Brainsights as an Operations, EEG Events Manager. In this role, they registered study participants, assisted with procedures, and provided support to ensure a smooth process.

At Techna Institute, Samara worked as an Associate Technical Analyst, where they led the organization of various stakeholders' needs for projects collaborating with clinics throughout Toronto.

Samara also gained experience at St. Michael's Hospital as a Biomedical Zone Project Lead for the Co-Development Lab Cohort 1. This involved incubating healthcare startups and connecting students with clinicians to work on real-world solutions.

Samara's earlier experiences include working as a Report Production Associate at University Health Network, President and VP of Events at the Biomedical Engineering Society, VP Strategic Relations at Ryerson Executives, Associates and Leaders (REAL), and Senator for the Ryerson Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers.

Samara also volunteered at The Hospital for Sick Children as a Rheumatology Research Department Volunteer and worked as an Innovation Integration Manager at Phinklife Inc.

Samara Seepersad completed their education with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Ryerson University in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Victoria Park Collegiate Institute. Samara'shigher-level subjects in the diploma program were English, Math, and Economics.

In addition to their formal education, Samara Seepersad has acquired several certifications. In September 2020, they obtained a Product Management Certificate from BrainStation. Samara also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from YDelay, acquired in May 2014. Moreover, in February 2013, Samara completed the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans Course on Research Ethics (TCPS 2: CORE), offered by the Panel on Research Ethics.
