Maryam Sadeghi

Maryam Sadeghi is a seasoned entrepreneur and expert in medical technology and artificial intelligence, currently serving as the Co-founder and CEO of MetaOptima Technology Inc. since November 2012, where the focus is on advanced smart dermatology solutions. In addition, Maryam holds the position of Director at the Artificial Intelligence network of British Columbia (AInBC) since January 2019, aiming to establish BC as a leader in AI and machine learning. Previous roles include Director at the Digital Health Hub from August 2013 to June 2015, Post-doctoral Fellow at Simon Fraser University, UBC Dermatology and BC Cancer Agency, and various research assistant positions at the British Columbia Cancer Agency and Mole Research Group. Maryam's academic background includes a PhD in Medical Image Analysis from Simon Fraser University and a BSc in Computer Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology.
