Momar Toure

Principal Scientist medicinal chemistry at MOMA Therapeutics

Momar Toure has a diverse work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry. Momar is currently working at MOMA Therapeutics as a Principal Scientist, a role they started in March 2023. Prior to this, they were associated with EMD Serono, Inc. from 2017 to 2023, where they held various positions including Principal Scientist, Associate Principal Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Scientist in the Medicinal Chemistry department.

Before joining EMD Serono, Inc., Momar worked at Yale University as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist from November 2013 to December 2016. During their time at Yale, they led two PROTAC projects, contributed to the RTK degraders project, and developed a synthetic method for accessing novel compounds. Momar also managed the purification and analytical chemistry equipment and supervised Co-Op students and graduate students in lab rotations.

Momar's early work experience includes a role as a Co-op student in R&D Medicinal Chemistry at GSK from August 2008 to July 2009.

Momar Toure attended Aix-Marseille University from 2010 to 2013, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Organic Chemistry. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2010, they studied at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemistry.
