Ryan Byrne is a Senior Scientist II - Cheminformatics and AI at MOMA Therapeutics since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Pharmaceutical AI Lead (Bio- and Chem-informatics) at Rejuveron Life Sciences AG from 2019 to 2020, Head of AI and Cheminformatics at Endogena Therapeutics, Inc. from 2020 to 2021, a PhD Student / Marie Curie ESR at ETH Zurich from 2016 to 2019, a Visiting Researcher at AstraZeneca from 2017 to 2018, and a Bioinformatician at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute from 2015 to 2016. At Rejuveron, they worked to combine and curate data sources to generate a knowledge graph of ageing-related biochemistry. At ETH Zurich, they developed high-throughput computational tools to allow for the more rapid identification of promising molecules which might one day become drugs. At AstraZeneca, they conducted research in the field of bioinformatics. At the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, they created and maintained tools for the analysis of high-throughput biological datasets.

Ryan Byrne completed a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Machine learning in pharmaceutics and Drug Design at ETH Zürich from 2016 to 2019. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Bioinformatics and Theoretical Systems Biology at Imperial College London from 2014 to 2015. Ryan also obtained an MPharm in Pharmacy from Queen's University Belfast from 2009 to 2013.
