Malipalema Khang is a Junior Data Scientist at Momentum Health Solutions since October 2021, previously serving as a Data Scientist Intern at DataConvergence and a Machine Learning Researcher at CERN. During the internship at CERN, Malipalema developed Natural Language Processing sentiment analysis models utilizing South African COVID-19 and vaccination Twitter datasets in collaboration with IBM and York University. Prior experience also includes a role as a Data Science Intern at Data Glacier, where skills in Agile methodologies, exploratory data analysis, model development, and deployment were honed. Malipalema holds a Master of Science in Data Science from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology from Wenzhou University, where involvement as Student Union Secretary occurred.
