Dan Norton

Dan Norton is a seasoned engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the marine and engineering sectors. As the President and CTO of Momentum Marine LLC since 2009, Dan has pioneered automatic docking and mooring systems for commercial and private vessels. In addition to this role, Dan served as President and Engineering Director at Forza X1 from 2021 to 2024, focusing on the development of affordable electric propulsion systems for the boating industry. Dan's earlier career includes roles at ATI Industrial Automation as Sustaining Engineering Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer, where oversight of engineering teams and project management were key responsibilities. Additional experiences at prominent companies such as Caterpillar Inc, Gerber Technology, and Barrett Technology have honed Dan's expertise in mechanical design and product development. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
