Joe Second, MHA has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Starting in the culinary field as a PM Sous Chef, they then worked as a Line Chef at Oliverios and later as a Group Sales Manager at The Nassau Inn. Transitioning into sales, Joe became a Sales & Mentor Training Manager at nTelos Wireless and later a Sales Manager at ComDoc, Inc. Joe then entered the pharmaceutical industry as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative at Forest Laboratories (now Allergan). Joe expanded their healthcare expertise by working as an Account Executive at LHC Group and as a Project Manager / Emergency Management Coordinator at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. Currently, they hold the position of Director Facility Operations at Mon Health and is also a Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Joe Second, MHA started their education in 1988 at Bridgeport High School, where they obtained their diploma in 1992. Joe then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree at West Virginia University from 1992 to 1997, specializing in PI Reed School of Journalism. In 2020, they continued their education by enrolling in LSU Shreveport, where they completed their Master of Health Administration degree in 2021.

In addition to their educational background, Joe has obtained certifications such as ICS-300 ICS-400 from FEMA. Joe is also a member of the WV Society for Healthcare Engineering and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
