Patricia Shingleton has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Their most recent role was as the Human Resources Director at Mon Health, which they started in December 2021. Prior to that, they worked at West Virginia University from 2017 to 2021. During their time at West Virginia University, they held various roles including Senior Human Resources Business Partner and Senior Employee Relations Specialist. In these roles, Patricia developed relationships with leadership, ensured alignment between operations and HR practices, and provided support in employee relations matters. Before joining West Virginia University, Patricia worked at Murray American Energy as a Human Resources Coordinator from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from West Virginia University in 2005. Patricia also completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Fairmont State University from 1999 to 2003.

In addition to their academic degrees, Patricia has pursued various certifications. Patricia obtained the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation from SHRM in May 2023, along with the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
