Ricardo Santos

Ricardo Santos has a strong background in technology leadership and software development. Ricardo started their career at Sybase 365, an SAP Company, where they held roles as a Software Engineer and later as a Production Operations Engineer. During this time, they developed mobile commerce web applications and supported messaging platforms for high-profile corporate customers.

In 2012, Santos joined SAP as a Senior Developer and later became a Software Architect and Development Expert. Ricardo was responsible for analyzing, architecting, and implementing anomaly detection systems for globally established banks and social media giants. Ricardo also played a key role in the development of a data-mart for messaging traffic and a billing platform capable of processing and rating millions of events per day.

In 2018, Santos became a co-founder and CTO of CXA - Customer Experience Analytics. Ricardo led the technological design and implementation of a groundbreaking digital assistant called Sabo. Ricardo'sresponsibilities included platform architecture, natural language processing methodologies, and research of online services and components for chatbot development.

Most recently, Santos joined Monadd as the Chief Technology Officer. In this role, they provide technical leadership for an innovative platform focused on address and identity management. Ricardo conducts research and implementation of solutions related to security, privacy, and service discovery through machine learning.

Ricardo Santos pursued their education at Instituto Superior Técnico. From 2003 to 2007, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Systems and Computer Engineering. During this period, their field of study included various subjects such as networks, microprocessors, algorithms and data structures, AI, operating systems, and compilers. Following this, from 2007 to 2010, Ricardo obtained a master's degree in Information Systems and Computer Engineering, specializing in software engineering, distributed systems, machine learning, and speech processing.

In addition to their formal education, Ricardo Santos has also obtained various certifications. In 2014, they completed the machine learning course by Andrew NG, achieving a 100% achievement. In 2017, Ricardo completed several courses on neural networks and deep learning, structuring machine learning projects, improving deep neural networks, and convolutional neural networks. In 2018, they obtained certifications for deep learning specialization and sequence models. Furthermore, Ricardo has certifications from SAP in mobile solution development for the enterprise and software development on SAP HANA. Ricardo also holds certifications from Sybase in Sybase IQ for developers and Sybase IQ optimization and performance improvement. Most recently, in 2023, they earned certifications in healthcare NLP for data scientists and Spark NLP for data scientists from John Snow Labs Training & Certification. Additionally, in 2015, Ricardo completed a course on audio signal processing for music applications from Coursera.
