Jin-Won Kim

Jin-Won Kim is currently the VP of Supply Chain at Monarch Tractor. Prior to joining Monarch Tractor, Jin-Won served as the Head of Procurement at Palantir Technologies from November 2019 to January 2022. Before Palantir, Jin-Won was with Tesla for six years, from November 2013 to November 2019, where they held the role of Group Manager, Global Supply Management - Power Distribution (HV/LV Harness, AC/DC Charging).

Before their time at Tesla, Jin-Won was with Groupe Renault for three years, from December 2010 to September 2013. During their time at Groupe Renault, Jin-Won served as a Commodity Buyer where they managed a portfolio valued at €250 million. Jin-Won also led and supported strategic sourcing via RFQs for future projects on multiple commodities and collaborated with current and future suppliers in order to ensure respect of CSR engagements. In addition, Jin-Won optimized supply chain to save financial costs on working capital and improve free cash flow. Jin-Won also audited supplier factories to identify means of improving production efficiency and translate into cost reductions. Furthermore, they negotiated pricing of commodities for new vehicle and engine projects for the Renault-Nissan Alliance. Lastly, they researched and sought out new potential suppliers for the Renault-Nissan Alliance and managed operational and commercial relations with multiple suppliers.

Prior to their time at Groupe Renault, Jin

Jin-Won Kim received their Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University, where they studied economics, political science, and international studies. They then went on to receive their Master of Science in finance from Seoul National University. Finally, they received their MBA from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL and University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Jin-Won Kim reports to Praveen Penmetsa, CEO. Some of their coworkers include Daniel Ogburn - General Council, Moussa Zeid - Senior Director of Corporate Development & Strategy, and Jeet Mehta - Product Lead.
