Lynden Roberts has a diverse work experience in various healthcare organizations and research institutions. Starting from 2024, they served as a Visiting Fellow at CSIRO. Before that, from 2014, they held multiple roles at Monash Health, including Clinical Director, Strategy Transformation and Projects, Senior Medical Staff as a Consultant Rheumatologist, Deputy Program Director, and Head of Clinical Trials in the Rheumatology Unit. Lynden also worked as a Presiding Member at Medical Panels starting from 2015 and served as a Board Member at OPAL Rheumatology Ltd from 2009 to 2016. In their earlier years, they occupied various positions at Townsville Hospital and Health Service, such as Director Clinical Research, Director Department of Rheumatology, Director General Medicine Department, and Senior Medical Staff & Director of Physician Training. Prior to that, they worked at The Royal Melbourne Hospital as the Senior Medical Staff & Deputy Director of Physician Training from 2004 to 2006.
Lynden Roberts obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Melbourne between 1989 and 1994. Later, from 1996 to 1999, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genetics and Immunology from the same university. They also hold additional certifications, including a FRACP from the Royal Australian College of Physicians (obtained in 2003) and a Foundations of Directorship Certificate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
