Nicola Byrne has extensive work experience in the field of clinical trials and research. Nicola began their career as a Research Assistant at Trinity College in 2011. Nicola then worked as an Associate Clinical Data Coordinator at Quintiles Dublin (CRO) and later as a Clinical Data Coordinator at Quintiles. In 2012, they joined Linear Clinical Research Ltd as a Study Assistant. Nicola then moved on to Nucleus Network, where they worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator and later as a Clinical Unit Assistant. In 2019, Nicola became the Oncology Project Manager at Nucleus Network and then transitioned to Monash Health as the Oncology Clinical Trials Team Lead. Most recently, they have been working as a Clinical Team Lead at Alfred Health. In the future, Nicola will assume the role of Clinical Project Manager at Doherty Clinical Trials starting in November 2023.
Nicola Byrne holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, which they obtained from NUI Maynooth and the National University of Ireland in the years 2006-2010. Nicola then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Molecular Medicine at Trinity College Dublin from 2010 to 2011.
