Monash Motorsport
James Hazon is the Head of Aerodynamics at Monash Motorsport, involved in the development of the aerodynamic design concept for the 2025 vehicle. Previously serving as an Aerodynamics Principal Engineer, James contributed significantly to wind tunnel CFD modeling, the manufacturing of aerodynamic packages for competitions, and presented technical analyses that led the team to notable achievements in Formula Student Design Events. Starting as a Junior Aerodynamics Engineer, James focused on optimizing aerodynamic designs and gained practical experience in composite lay-up and machining. In addition to motorsport, James works as a Retail Stock Clerk at Coles Group and is pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) at Monash University alongside specialized machining coursework from Chisholm Institute. James completed secondary education at St Bede's College Mentone.

Monash Motorsport is a student-run, not-for-profit racing team based out of Monash University in Clayton, Victoria. The program is designed to develop practical knowledge and provide invaluable experience for students across all faculties through the design, manufacture and racing of an open-wheeled car in the world’s largest student engineering design competition, Formula SAE. Monash Motorsport currently designs, manufactures, tests and races in the Driverless and Electric categories.
