Gustavo Valle is Executive Vice President and President, North America for Mondelēz International, a global snacking leader evolving the role of snacking with 2021 net revenues of approximately $29 billion. In this role, he is responsible for leading the company’s $8.3Bn business in the US and Canada, including iconic brands such as OREO and belVita biscuits; Triscuit and Ritz crackers; Trident gum and Sour Patch Kids candy.
Gustavo joined Mondelēz International in early 2020, bringing more than three decades of leadership experience and expertise across Latin America, North America and Europe. Gustavo has a proven track record of having led food and beverage businesses, demonstrating strategic capabilities and operational excellence to turn around challenged businesses and drive growth. He started his career in Finance before ascending into general management roles for markets including Argentina and Brazil before taking on leadership roles in the US and Europe.
His passion for consumer-focused marketing, operational excellence and bold innovation has benefited the many brands he has led in categories such as Dairy and Beverages. In more than 20 years at Danone, he held roles including CFO Argentina; CEO Argentina; CEO Brazil; North America VP, Dairy Division; VP Dairy Division Europe and EVP, Dairy Division Worldwide.
Gustavo has a degree in accounting from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and is a member of the Board for Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, English and French.
