Mondriaan Fund
Jurjen Galema currently serves as Werkbijdrage Jong Talent at Mondriaan Fonds since August 2020 and has been nominated for the Young Grunn Artist III coaching trajectory by Groninger Museum from 2019 to the present. In 2020, Jurjen exhibited a solo show titled FLUFFAGEDDON at Museum Drachten. Educationally, Jurjen completed a Master of Arts in Painting from Hanzehogeschool Groningen from 2017 to 2019 and earlier studied at the same institution, graduating with a focus on Autonoom in Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving in 2016. Additionally, Jurjen gained practical experience through internships and teaching roles in various educational settings, including a research internship at OneDayArtist and a teaching position at Singelland het Drachtster Lyceum.

Mondriaan Fund
The Mondriaan Fund is the public fund for visual art and cultural heritage in the Netherlands. It enables plans, projects and programmes of artists, exhibition makers and critics, museums and other art and heritage institutions, and publishers and commissioners. All contributions reinforce the production or presentation of art and heritage from the Netherlands, both at home and abroad, where the market doesn’t do this (yet).
