Sean Kidney serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Climate Bonds Initiative since November 2010, leading a global team dedicated to mobilizing capital for climate solutions. In addition to this role, Sean Kidney holds membership positions on various influential platforms, including the European Commission's Platform on Sustainable Finance, the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Sustainable Finance Advisory Panel, and the International Energy Agency's Finance Industry Advisory Board. Furthermore, Sean Kidney is a member of UNCTAD's Sustainable Investment Advisory Council, a Professor in Practice at SOAS University of London, and a Fellow at The RSA. Sean Kidney's previous involvement includes membership in the EU Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance. Sean Kidney studied Arts, Politics, Fine Arts, and History at the University of Sydney, following an education at Cranbrook School.
