Varun Venkatesh has worked in various roles across multiple companies. In 2021, they began working as a Business Analyst at MoneyTap, and as a Data Analyst at Titan Company Limited, where they helped the business with a deeper understanding of e-commerce buying behaviour in their largest division (jewellery) and developed categorical choice models based on logistic regression and random forest methods to predict customers who are more likely to switch online from offline mode of shopping. In 2020, they worked as a Data Science Intern at Bharti Airtel, where they developed a matching algorithm using regex and reverse geocoding to link customers to cell towers, and evaluated SMS promotions for improving effectiveness of targeted marketing campaigns. In 2019, they worked as a Summer Intern at Mu Sigma Inc. and as a Business Development Intern at Within Nutrition. In 2016, they worked as a Summer Intern at MedGenome Labs Ltd.

Varun Venkatesh has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from PES University, which they completed in 2021. Varun also holds an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma from The International School Bangalore (TISB), which they completed in 2017. Prior to that, they completed the IGCSE program at The International School Bangalore (TISB) in 2015. Varun began their education at The International School Bangalore (TISB) in 2011.
