Jean-Christophe VANHUYSSE

Jean-Christophe VANHUYSSE has extensive work experience in various roles related to finance, banking, and fintech.

From 2021 to the present, they serve as a Member of the Management Board [CFO Group] at Moneytrans, a top money transfer operator in Europe and Africa. Jean-Christophe is responsible for managing over 3 million active customers globally, overseeing a network of 3,000 active third-party agents and own offices across 10 countries. Additionally, they focus on social inclusion, empowerment, microcredit, education, and mentoring through the Smile community. Jean-Christophe also plays a role in the development and implementation of Moneytrans' omnichannel strategy and innovative financial product, Moneytrans Neobank.

Prior to their current position, Jean-Christophe held multiple executive roles. In 2021, they worked as an Executive Director and Interim Management Consultant at an undisclosed company, where they provided strategic guidance and executed C-level missions and projects. From 2018 to 2021, they served as an Executive Director [CFO/COO] at NewB, a digital bank. Jean-Christophe successfully built the infrastructure and structure of the bank, which opened in November 2020.

In 2017 and 2018, Jean-Christophe worked on change and project management in the banking sector, specifically in the establishment and organization of credit and payment activities for a new Belgian bank. Jean-Christophe also focused on personal development, language-learning, networking, sectoral and regulatory surveillance, and family matters during this time.

From 2014 to 2016, Jean-Christophe was a Member of the Executive Committees and Boards of Belgium subsidiaries at Beobank NV/SA, where they held the positions of CFO and Operations. Earlier in their career, from 2001 to 2016, they served as a Member of the Executive Committees and Boards of Belgium subsidiaries at BKCP Bank - Banque, overseeing financial risks, acquisitions, integrations, system migrations, and transversal projects.

Before that, from 2000 to 2001, Jean-Christophe held a non-executive role as a member of the Executive Committee at Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe, where they contributed to the restructuring of Crédit Professionnel and implemented new information solutions. From 1992 to 1999, they worked in the commercial network and as the Director of the Loans Department at Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe.

Jean-Christophe VANHUYSSE obtained their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II) in 1990. Jean-Christophe then pursued a DESS in Banking and Financial Support Services at L'École supérieure de la banque from 1993 to 1996. In 1992, they completed a DESS in Finance, General at Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II). Finally, from 2009 to 2011, Jean-Christophe VANHUYSSE attended the IÉSEG School of Management and earned an Executive MBA.
